Het af laten vlaggen van een Grand Prix door een lokale beroemdheid is een leuke marketingstunt van de FOM, maar dan moet het wel goed gebeuren. In Canada ging het vanavond fout. Internationaal model Winnie Harlow zwaaide een rondje te vroeg met de vlag.

Voor de uitslag maakte het verder geen bal uit want de onderlinge verschillen waren groot genoeg, maar reglementair is de FIA verplicht om dan een doorkomst van twee ronden eerder als uitslag op te nemen. Het leverde flink wat commentaar op social media op.

Well it doesn't get better than that! Gayle King (who?) doing the start with Charlie then Michael Douglas in a garage during the race before Supermodel and Activist (?) Winnie Harlow manages to wave the flag a lap early and do her hair at the same time ... what a race!
