McLaren domineert na de tweede vrije training ook de derde vrije training en gaat met de beste papieren richting de kwalificatie. Red Bull Racing hoopte een grote stap te zetten, maar kwam ruim acht tienden tekort. Max Verstappen wist alsnog de vierde tijd te klokken. George Russell was hem net te snel af. Yuki Tsunoda pakte P9.
