Met Max Verstappen als absolute kopman heeft de Japanse motorleverancier met Red Bull een nieuw team gevonden om terug aan de top te komen na een mislukt huwelijk met McLaren.
Nadat Verstappen de Grand Prix van Oostenrijk eerder dit jaar won, vloeiden de tranen bij Honda rijkelijk. 'Japanners zjin er meestal goed in om hun ware emoties te verbergen. Maar na jaren van tegenslag kwam het er daar in Oostenrijk allemaal uit.'
'De tegenvallende periode bij McLaren maakte het succes achteraf alleen maar mooier', vertelt Kees van de Grint, die jarenlang bij Bridgestone werkte. De Japanse bandenleverancier maakte in die periode de gloriejaren van Michael Schumacher mee.
'Verstappen kan volksheld worden'
Veel Japanse fans lopen dit weekend met merchandise van Verstappen rond. 'In Japan wordt iedereen die buitengewoon presteert op handen gedragen', vertelt Van de Grind tegenover NUsport. - De carriere van Ocon bestaat vooral uit akkefietjes, rare momenten, ruzie met zijn teamgenoten en vooral heel vervelend gedrag. Voor zijn prestatie of gebrek aan, was het eigenlijk ook helemaal niet rechtvaardig dat ie zolang in de F1 heeft mogen rijden. Ik gaat hem dan ook geen moment missen.SennA04-11-2026
- Ik denk zelf niet dat Ferrari Lewis heeft binnengehaald met het idee kampioen te kunnen worden. De Feedback van deze coureur die er inmiddels ruim 20 seizoenen op heeft zitten is namelijk vrij genant. Die is enkel gehaald vanwege zijn commerciele waarde...SennA04-11-2026
- Terwijl Lewis Hamilton in mijn ogen een flink stuk gehaaider is dan Charles Leclerc. Kijk naar de afgelopen race. Hamilton duwt Leclerc van de baan, haalt zelf de bocht ook niet, maar kom terug op de baan. Leclerc neemt de korter weg en krijgt straf. Ik wil nog wel eens zien hoe dat afgelopen was als Leclerc met zijn wielen een tik uitgdeeld had aan Hamilton en vervolgens op de boordradio moord en brand schreeuwt omdat hij van de baan geduwd is.mart2204-11-2026

- Honestly I can't imagine how sad they are as people. They hate Max so much because of his personality. But he has autism. Always we hear about having to be inclusive but as soon as you have autism the entire world is against you for not conforming to their social norms. I experience the same thing myself. It's so disgustingly sickening. But if your skin color is black you get all the favors imaginable. Meanwhile what, like 8% of the world population is white and everyone hates us. And Max is white and has autism so he has it even worse. Christianity is the only religion you're allowed to mock and criticize, we can't have church bells ringing but we can have arab calls to prayer on fucking loud speakers in places people live at least thrice a day. I guess inclusivity is blind to handicaps unless it's one people can see. Such as a wheelchair. Or when your race is not white, because then you apparently need help from the racist 'inclusive' people. Max is just always himself. Honest to a fault. Same as me. And these people will backstab him at any opportunity they see as a chance to disadvantage him one way or another. Always the same shit. 4 decades I walked on this earth now and it only gets worse every damn year. Dishonest trashy people, all of them. - I agree. Funny that no explanation was offered, even the announcers were baffled. Just another example of the FIA doing what ever they choose; like giving points on Super Licenses for a Free Practice incident- just to set an example.
