Lewis Hamilton sluit zich achter zijn teamgenoot aan, terwijl Max Verstappen en Sergio Pérez zullen moeten starten vanaf de tweede startrij. Daarmee zal Red Bull tijdens de race de aanval moeten gaan openen op de directe concurrent.
